Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Ahmet Faruk Akgün, trading as Afakgun Studio, Ankara, Türkiye ("we", "us"), for using the Second Ball game and its optional cloud save. By playing Second Ball you accept them. We've tried to keep them short and fair.

1. The game

Second Ball is a single-player football club management game for iPhone and iPad; an Android version is planned. You can play without an account, and your careers are saved on your device. Optional cloud save lets you keep copies online (see section 7 and our Privacy Policy).

2. Your licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download Second Ball and play it for your own, non-commercial entertainment on devices you own or control, in line with the rules of the store you got it from. The game, its code, design, text, art, audio and the fictional world belong to us or our licensors. Careers you create are yours to play and keep; you may share screenshots and videos of your games.

3. Free season and Full Career

• Free to download. Your first in-game season is fully open, with nothing held back.
• Full Career is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks continuing your careers beyond that first season. The price is shown in the app and in the store before you buy. There is no subscription and nothing renews.
• No ads, no tokens or energy, no loot boxes, no pay-to-win. Full Career is the only purchase, and it doesn't make your club stronger or give you any advantage in the game; it just lets your career go on.
• Your saves are safe. If you don't buy Full Career, nothing is deleted or locked: you can keep looking through your squad, tables and history, and continue later if you buy it.
• Payment is handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). The purchase is tied to your store account.
• Restore purchases: on a new device, or after reinstalling, tap "Restore purchases" in the game to unlock Full Career again at no cost.
• Family Sharing: Full Career is available through Apple's Family Sharing, so members of your Family Sharing group can unlock it on their own devices without paying again, as long as Apple's Family Sharing rules are met.
• Where the store asks for approval (for example "Ask to Buy"), Full Career unlocks once the purchase is approved.

4. Refunds

Full Career is digital content that is delivered immediately, and it is non-refundable except as provided by Apple's or Google's refund policies or as required by law. Refund requests go through the store you bought from (for Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com), because we don't handle payments and can't issue refunds ourselves. This does not limit any rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

5. A fictional world

All players, managers, clubs, leagues, competitions, stadiums and places in Second Ball are fictional and generated for the game. Any resemblance to real people, clubs or organisations is coincidental. Second Ball is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored or licensed by any real football club, league, competition, federation, player or other game.

6. How the art and audio were made

Second Ball is made by one developer without a separate art team. Its art and audio were created with the help of AI tools (Claude, by Anthropic), then directed, selected and edited by us. We say this openly so you know what you're getting.

7. Cloud save and your account

• Cloud save is optional. To use it you sign in with an emailed 6-digit code, Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. Keep your email account and sign-in codes private; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
• You can keep up to 5 save slots, with up to 2 versions each. A new backup replaces the oldest version.
• Cloud save is provided "as is". We work to keep it reliable, but we can't guarantee it will always be available or that a backup can never be lost or damaged. Keep the saves on your device (the game also makes automatic local backups), and don't rely on the cloud copy as your only copy.
• Restoring a cloud copy replaces the career on your device; the game keeps the current one as a backup file first.
• You can delete your cloud copies or your whole account at any time, as described in our Privacy Policy.
• If we ever need to end the cloud save service, we will tell you in the game at least 30 days in advance where possible, so you can make sure your saves are on your device. The game itself will keep working without it.

8. Fair play

Second Ball is single-player, so how you play your own career is up to you. But please don't:

• reverse engineer, decompile or modify the app, except where the law allows this and the right can't be waived;
• get around the Full Career purchase, or distribute tools or modified versions that do;
• interfere with, overload, probe or attack our cloud services, use them for anything other than saving your own careers, upload files that aren't genuine game saves, or try to access other people's accounts or data;
• use the game or its content commercially without our permission, or break any law.

We may suspend or close cloud accounts that break these rules, after warning you when that is reasonable. Your saves on your device and your Full Career purchase are not affected.

9. Updates and future content

We may release updates that fix bugs, improve the game, or change or remove features. Full Career gives you what is in the game at the time and updates we choose to release; we don't promise any particular future content, features, platforms or support for every older device or operating system. You may need to update the app to keep using cloud save.

10. Liability

Second Ball is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the applicable law allows:

• we don't guarantee that the game or cloud save will be uninterrupted or free of bugs, or that a save can never be lost;
• we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control;
• our total liability to you for any claim related to Second Ball is limited to the amount you paid for Second Ball in the 12 months before the claim, or, if you paid nothing, to a reasonable nominal amount.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury where the law does not allow this to be limited, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under the law that applies to you, including the Turkish Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 and the Turkish Code of Obligations No. 6098 (article 115).

11. App Store and Google Play terms

If you downloaded Second Ball from the Apple App Store, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Second Ball or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for any product, legal or intellectual property claims relating to it. If Second Ball fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price, if any, and Apple has no other warranty obligation. You must comply with the App Store's usage rules and any third-party terms (such as your mobile carrier's). Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app.

If you get Second Ball from Google Play once it is available there, Google Play's terms of service also apply, and Google is not responsible for the game.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Ankara courts and enforcement offices have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you may also apply to the consumer arbitration committee (tüketici hakem heyeti) or consumer court where you live, within the limits set by law. If you live in the EU or elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country and may bring a claim there. Before going to court, please contact us: most problems can be solved by email.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when we add features or the law changes. We will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the game before they take effect. Changes never take away a Full Career purchase you've already made. If you don't agree, you can stop playing and delete your cloud account.
